Infographic: The 8 trends impacting mobile travel in 2019

Travelport Digital recently published our annual Mobile Travel Trends report, where we predict eight of the biggest trends set to dominate mobile travel in 2019. It’s our third year publishing this expert-led report, which allows us to advise travel brands on where they should make their digital investments in the coming year.

So, how did we settle on these eight trends? With so much emerging tech and innovation happening across every corner of the industry, why do we think these trends are the ones that should shape your mobile strategy? Well, it all comes down to the research.

First, we asked for opinions from eight experts across various fields in the travel industry, including airlines, OTAs, technology, digital innovation and UX design, to give us their thoughts. This includes experts from here in Travelport, as well as industry heavyweights easyJet and Yatra.com.

At the same time, we conducted research with over 1,100 end travelers and 100 industry professionals to see how travelers’ mobile behavior is changing, and where the industry is planning to invest. All of these insights combined make up our Mobile Travel Trends 2019 report.

Take a look at our infographic, which gives you a snapshot of the eight trends that should help shape your digital strategy this year. For the nitty gritty, download the full report for free.
